NOTICE REGARDING COVID-19
The Town of Wellesley, in consultation with the Wellesley Health Department (WHD) and guidance provided by the State, has canceled all non-essential government meetings in the coming weeks due to increased concerns about the current Coronavirus outbreak.
The Hunnewell design presentation scheduled for the 3/12 Permanent Building Committee meeting has been postponed, as has the 3/19 and 3/26 School Building Committee meeting for the Hardy/Upham project. Town officials are looking into alternative plans for remote meetings allowed by the Governor under an emergency act issued March 12, and will advise the School Building Committee on the scheduling of future meetings. The project team will continue to update the HHU website as more information about future meetings becomes available.
The Town of Wellesley is undertaking two separate elementary school building projects in order to meet the current and long-term needs of its students and address significant deficiencies at the Hardy, Hunnewell, and Upham schools.
These two projects are being executed by the Town's School Building Committee (SBC) and its Permanent Building Committee (PBC), with the support of the School Committee and the Board of Selectmen. Planning is ongoing, and the earliest a new school would open is 2023.

The feasibility study for the Hardy/Upham project, in partnership with the Massachusetts School Building Authority, began in late August 2019.
