Hunnewell Project: Hunnewell is open! The First day of classes in the new building was 2/26/2024! Public tours of the new Hunnewell School are planned for May 17-19 during Wellesley’s Wonderful Weekend.

Past Project Updates
The Town of Wellesley is undertaking two separate elementary school building projects in order to meet the current and long-term needs of its students and address significant deficiencies at the Hardy, Hunnewell, and Upham schools.
These two projects are being executed by the Town's School Building Committee (SBC) and its Permanent Building Committee (PBC), with the support of the School Committee and the Board of Selectmen. Planning is ongoing, and the earliest a new school would open is 2024.
