NOTICE REGARDING COVID-19
Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the Town of Wellesley has allowed building project meetings with the Permanent Building Committee and School Building Committee to be conducted using a virtual platform.
At this time the School Building Committee has scheduled two virtual meetings to review project data on the Hardy/Upham school project on April 2nd and April 16th. After those meetings, the SBC will reassess the project schedule moving forward based on the evolving global situation.
The Permanent Building Committee has resumed its regular bi-monthly meeting schedule, but are meeting virtually for all meetings at this time until otherwise notified by the Town of Wellesley.
The Town officials will advise as policies change based on the evolving situation. The project team will continue to update the HHU website as more information about future meetings becomes available.
The Town of Wellesley is undertaking two separate elementary school building projects in order to meet the current and long-term needs of its students and address significant deficiencies at the Hardy, Hunnewell, and Upham schools.
These two projects are being executed by the Town's School Building Committee (SBC) and its Permanent Building Committee (PBC), with the support of the School Committee and the Board of Selectmen. Planning is ongoing, and the earliest a new school would open is 2023.
