Construction began in March 2023. Construction is ongoing and on schedule. The Hardy Elementary School estimated move-in date is August 2024. Abatement, demolition of the existing school and site work would continue for 6 months after the new building is occupied. 

 

The project received approval from the Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) on January 10, 2023.

 

The project received a special permit from the Wellesley Planning Board as a Project of Significant Impact (PSI) on July 11, 2022.

 

The project has completed the Design Development (DD) Phase under the direction of the Permanent Building Committee. 

The DD phase concluded in June 2022 and was approval by the Massachusetts School Building Authority.

The project has completed the Schematic Design (SD) Phase under the direction of the Permanent Building Committee.  The SD phase concluded in July 2021 and was approved by the Massachusetts School Building Authority on August 25, 2021. 

 

Funding approval was received at the October 25, 2021 Special Town Meeting and December 7, 2021 Ballot Vote.
