Hunnewell Feasibility Study
On May 16th the SBC voted (11-1) to recommend all-new construction as the best option to meet educational program needs identified during the feasibility study.

The new construction option was presented to the School Committee and Board of Selectmen at a joint meeting with the SBC on June 6th. During the week of June 17th, both boards voted to approve the SBC’s recommendation.
At its June 13th meeting the SBC:
Reviewed potential scenarios for parking and student drop-off/pick-up and traffic analysis data presentation by SMMA’s traffic consultantAuthorized contract amendments for additional services to further evaluate Swing Space options

Project timing and next steps depend on development of consensus on a swing space option, followed by Town Meeting appropriation of design funds, and subsequent Town Meeting and voter approval of construction funds.
Hardy/Upham MSBA Project
On June 18th the Massachusetts School Building Authority(MSBA) Designer Selection Panel interviewed and ranked the qualifications of three firms to provide designer services for this project. The Town will take steps to negotiate a contract with the top ranked firm, SMMA.
